Top Tips for Things to See whilst in Bali
If culture is your thing, then you will certainly be spoiled for choice here on Bali. A great starting point would be to visit one or more of the famous temples that are scattered around the island. The Besakih Temple, or ‘Mother Temple’ as it is well known, is located on Mount Agung. As the biggest temple on Bali, Besakih plays host to a number of castes systems.
Another must see is the iconic Tanah Lot. Gracing the apex of a large rock formation in the middle of the ocean, it is considered one of Bali’s most significant sea temples, and is certainly a wonderful landscape to see.
The Rice Paddies
Of course, when visiting our country, a number one excursion of choice would be a trip to see the famous rice paddies, centred around the area of Ubud. An area of outstanding natural beauty, during a visit to this area expect to immerse yourselves in Balinese life when you come across locals selling their wares via quaint makeshift stalls.
Other Things to See and Do
For animal lovers, Ubud Monkey Forest is a chance to get up close and personal with Bali’s native long-tailed macaques and Bali Elephant Safari Park, just north of Ubud, provides tourists with a jungle safari experience with a difference – riding atop your own Sumatran elephant provides the perfect sightseeing vantage point.
Weather in Bali
From April to September, it is Bali’s dry season and the weather in Bali is sunny and warm, with occasional rainfall. Rainy season is typically between the months of October through to March. Consequently, Bali visitor numbers are highest between the months of April to September. Expect average temperatures in the region of 30 degrees celcius with humidity levels nearer the coast much less than the recorded highs; due to the onset of local sea breezes.
